CAL 1 provides the knowledge and tools to facilitate leadership thinking and behavior, to lead and manage teams, and to imbibe Agile leadership competency. Executives, management personnel, team leads, members of Agile teams, and professionals looking to become a leader their Agile journey are best suited for the CAL 1 program, although this is not a prerequisite. CAL 1 provides knowledge through five categories - context for Agile, the overview of Agile, Leadership roles in the context of Agile, organizational changes in the context of Agile, and Agile approaches to change.
Prerequisites to Attend CAL 1 Training
There are no prerequisites to take the CAL 1 training. Any candidate looking to acquire leadership and Agile knowledge can attend the CAL 1 training.
CAL 1 Certification Prerequisites
While there is no exam to acquire the CAL 1 certificate, attending a certification training provided by CSTs (Certified Scrum Trainers) is important to correctly grasp the concepts of CAL 1 which leads the way to future Agile certifications.
Once a candidate attends and completes the CAL 1 certification course from an accredited institute, they are eligible to receive a Certified Agile Leadership Credential Level 1 certificate issued by Scrum Alliance. No examination is needed.
Successful completion also provides 14 PDUs and SEUs.
