Before enrolling in a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM®) course, it's important to understand the eligibility requirements and certification process. The good news is that CSM is designed for beginners as well as experienced professionals who want to build a strong foundation in Scrum and Agile practices.

Prerequisites for Attending CSM Training

One of the biggest advantages of the CSM certification is that there are no formal prerequisites for attending the training.

You can enroll in a CSM course if you are:

  • A Project Manager

  • Team Lead or Manager

  • Product Owner

  • Business Analyst

  • Software Developer

  • Quality Assurance Professional

  • Agile Practitioner

  • Fresh Graduate or Career Switcher

  • Anyone interested in learning Scrum and Agile methodologies

The training is conducted by a Certified Scrum Trainer (CST®) and can be delivered either online or in a classroom environment.

💡 No prior Scrum experience is required, making CSM an ideal entry-level Agile certification.
